SKILLS USED • slip-stitch colorwork • knitting flat and in the round • German short rows • picking up stitches • applied I-cord • decreasing/increasing • reading charts (optional) NOTES & TIPS 1. The slip-stitch colorwork is worked flat for Front and Back separately. The Back continues with some short rows for a better fit around the neck. Once armhole depth is reached, Front and Back are joined to work the Body in the round down to the hem. Stitches are picked up around the neck and finished with an applied I-cord edge, and around the armholes to be finished with 1x1 Ribbing. 2. The slip-stitch pattern is both written (pages 3 – 4) and charted (page 6). 3. Always slip sts purlwise. 4. No needle lengths are listed; you’ll need a few different lengths to accommodate the following: working the upper body sections back and forth in rows, working the body in the round, picking up sts around the neck, working armbands in the round.
